Zirconium Valve
◆ Zirconium alloys have good corrosion resistance, moderate mechanical properties, low atomic thermal neutron absorption cross-section (zirconium is 0.18 target en) in high temperature and high pressure water and steam ℃300~400. thus, they can be used as core structure materials (fuel cladding, pressure tube, support and pore tube) for water cooled nuclear reactors, which is the main use of zirconium alloys. Zirconium has excellent resistance to many kinds of acids (such as hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid and acetic acid), alkali and salt, so zirconium alloys are also used to make corrosion resistant components and pharmaceutical devices.
Its corrosion resistance is one to several orders of magnitude higher than that of nickel alloys. It is widely used in harsh corrosion conditions.

◆ It is strictly prohibited to be used in the mixed acid medium of hydrofluoric acid, aqua regia, fluorosilicic acid, sulfuric acid and nitric acid;.
◆ It is strictly prohibited to use in dry chlorine, fuming nitric acid medium working conditions;
◆ When selecting zirconium valves, it is necessary to fully consider the temperature of the corrosive medium, the composition of the medium, the concentration of each component, and the water content of the working condition.
