Hastelloy C-4(UNSNO 6455)
the alloy is an austenitic low-carbon nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy. Nicrofer 6616hMo main differences from other early developed alloys with similar chemical compositions are low carbon, silicon, iron, and tungsten content. such chemical composition makes it exhibit excellent stability at 650-1040℃ and improves the ability to resist intergranular corrosion. the edge line corrosion sensitivity and weld heat affected zone corrosion can be avoided under appropriate manufacturing conditions. Alloys are used in FGD systems, pickling and acid regeneration plants, acetic acid and agrochemical production, titanium dioxide production (chlorine process), electrolytic electroplating, etc.

Medium |
Oxidative acids such as nitric acid, nitric acid and sulfuric acid, mixed acid, gallic acid and sulfuric acid, etc., can also be resistant to oxidizing salts or medium containing other oxidants such as hypochlorite at higher temperatures than normal temperature, and have good corrosion resistance to various media such as organic acids and acid solutions containing chlorides. |
Good corrosion resistance to seawater, acetic acid, wet chlorine, can also be used in chlorine containing Huawei medium. But the corrosion resistance of Ni-Mo alloy in hydrochloric acid is not as good as that of Ni-Mo alloy |
with ℃530–1090℃ sensitization temperature can withstand long worldly without producing severe intergranular corrosion sensitivity. |
The corrosion rate Hastelloy C-4 higher than that of Hastelloy C-276 in highly reductive acids like hydrochloric acid |
